Trajectory
I am a psychologist and researcher specializing in metascience, psychometrics, quantitative methods, and mental health research. My work examines phenomena through measurement theory, network analysis, causal reasoning, and methodological development, with particular—though not exclusive—attention to eating disorders, depression, autism, and child and adolescent mental health.
I completed my PhD and MSc in Psychology at Universidade São Francisco, focusing on foundational and applied questions in psychological measurement. My research has addressed social-desirability bias, latent-variable measurement, item response theory, measurement invariance, differential item functioning, and the assumptions that shape the interpretation and use of psychological test scores.
I currently contribute to international and interdisciplinary research through the Child Mind Institute and the Eating Disorders Lab at Oslo New University College. These collaborations involve cross-cultural psychological assessment, mental health screening, psychometric validation, and the development of evidence to support prevention, early identification, and intervention.
I am also interested in metascience and open-science practices, particularly how measurement choices, analytical decisions, transparency, and reporting standards affect the reliability and interpretability of psychological evidence.
Teaching and supervision
My teaching experience includes Social Psychology, Quantitative Methods, Psychometrics, Psychological Assessment, and Research Methodology. I have supported undergraduate and graduate education through teaching assistantships, thesis supervision, research mentoring, synchronous courses, professional training, and asynchronous educational content. My teaching approach emphasizes methodological rigor, accessible communication, critical thinking, and learner autonomy.
Psychological assessment
My work in psychological assessment combines validated instruments, clinical interviews, and contextual information to understand cognitive, emotional, behavioral, and personality-related concerns. I aim to clarify diagnostic hypotheses, identify strengths and support needs, and provide practical recommendations.
