Research Area: Psychometrics

My work in psychometrics focuses on improving how psychological constructs are conceptualized, measured, and modeled. My work involves critical thinking on psychometric assumptions before choosing a model. I apply and develop methods involving item response theory, Rasch modeling, factor analysis, measurement invariance, differential item functioning, and reliability assessment. A central aim of my research is to address methodological limitations in psychological measurement and to produce instruments and analytical approaches that are valid, robust, and suitable for diverse populations and research contexts. I also I develop, compare, and refine psychometric methods, with attention to reproducibility, simulation, valid inference, transparent workflows, and the practical consequences of analytical choices.
